Chitwan is the 5th largest city of Nepal which is located in the southwestern part of Province No.3. This place is most renowned for its cultural variations, jungle activities, pilgrimage tours, and so on. The main tourist destination of this city is Sauraha.

The various reasons why you should visit Chitwan are:

  • Jeep Safari: It is the perfect way to explore the wildlife of Chitwan. On this safari ride, you can also see different endangered wild animals like the One-horned rhinos, royal Bengal tiger, crocodile, etc., if you are lucky.
  • Jungle Trek: If you want to explore the wildlife yourself, then visiting Chitwan National Park, home of over 700 wildlife is the perfect trip.
  • Bish Hazaari Taal: This lake is situated in the demilitarized zone of Chitwan National Park. It lies in the southern corner of Bharatpur and is a protected area of the inner Terai. This lake is named Bish Hazaari Taal because it has many small and big lakes whose number exceeds the count of thousands. Also, if you are a reptile lover you can see crocodiles taking sun baths on the bank of the lake.
  • Visit Elephant Breeding Center: Out of the two elephant breeding centers across the world, one of them is here in Nepal, Chitwan. Also, In this region, you can see elephants with their calves.
  • Sashwat Dham: It’s a popular destination for learning and one’s spiritual growth. It’s a renowned destination for spiritual seekers and admirers of nature, located on 12 lush acres that aid the beautiful Nawalparasi foothills. Also, the stunning Ekambareshwor Mahadev Temple, Buddhist Center, and Yoga retreat draw tourists to attractions.
  • Cycling outside Sauraha, Devghat Dham, Elephant Safari, etc., are places you can enjoy visiting in Chitwan.
