About Muktinath Darshan
Muktinath; the temple of Lord Vishnu scared both Buddhists and Hindus. It is holy for worshipping. Also, both Hindus and Buddhists believe that all your sins wash away if you pray in the temple and bathe at the 108 water sprouts around. Inside, the Muktinath temple, both Hindus and Buddhists have their own definitions of the idols. The Hindus visit the temple to worship their main idol, Lord Bishnu, and one beside them Saraswati, and Goddess Laxmi. Buddhists, on the other hand, worship their main idol as ‘Lwang Garbo’ which means the king of snakes, or Naagdevi, which means the goddess of snakes.
Muktinath Darshan (Kathamndu – Pokhara – Jomsom – Muktinath)
Following the Prithvi Highway from Kathmandu in a private tourist vehicle, you will soon reach Pokhara. After Pokhara, crossing Bedi, Tatopani, Ghasa, MarphaJomsom and Kagbeni; our final destination is Muktinath.
Our First Stop: The road to the Muktinath tour that starts from Pokhara is quite comfortable and stable. A night at Pokhara is what most of the travellers loved during this tour to Muktinath.
Our Second Stop: The next is Jomsom (at an elevation of 3734m from sea level) which is about 170km away from our first stop; Pokhara. The road journey from Beni for 100km is fine but it gradually gets worse for 70km to Jomson. Also, if you want to visit the Muktinath temple on the same day, it is possible and you can do some pooja and even return back to Jomson. The duration trip of our today’s journey will be of nine hours.
After a full day of Muktinath exploration, we will drive back to Pokhara. You can either stay in Pokahra or return back to Kathmandu, do as you want. We hope you had an amazing time here with us. We hope to serve you again.
